Welcome to The Swan Hotel Maldon

Your Hosts, Mr Gary Fearn & Ms Clare Leonard welcome you to The Swan Hotel Maldon, maintaining a 200 year old tradition of offering comfortable accommodation, quality cuisine, fine ales and entertainment to the local community, business traveller and tourist traveller alike.

We have two wide screen T.V's in the main Bar for all the best sporting events on Sky. A Pool Table and Dart Board. Our two function rooms, "The Bewick Suite" and "The Tudor Room", a great Restaurant, friendly, helpful staff and Accommodation to rival any other in Maldon.

Situated in a prime high street position The Swan Hotel Maldon is a grade II listed building which dates from the late 15th century. During the last two centuries, The Swan Hotel was the staging post for travel to and from Maldon, with many carriages offering local routes as well as destinations such as London, Canterbury and Norwich.

The traveller would be greeted at The Swan Hotel with food, ale and lodgings. This tradition continues today with modern en-suite rooms and facilities designed to make your stay as comfortable as possible.

Maldon, with it's countryside, heritage, maritime history and rural charm is able to cater for visitors of all ages and tastes.

Maldon itself is one of the oldest recorded towns in Essex, it's links with the river remain as important today as they were to the early Saxon settlers. The port is still trading today and the old Thames sailing barges are still active on the river and can be seen at the Hythe Quay in Maldon.

With London only just over an hour away, Maldon is an ideal base for both business and pleasure.
